Painted and reupholstered chairsA while back, I saw these painted folding chairs on Pinterest and knew I had to give it a try. I already had four folding chairs from Costco, I’m pretty sure I got them for $15 each. I bought some green fabric from Joann’s and had leftover blue fabric that previously served as no-sew pillow covers. (In case you were curious, here are the steps for the pillow cases). Lowe’s only had Valspar spray paint which I knew wasn’t the best, but I was too lazy to go elsewhere. Continue reading →

Water Field Games Party

sponge ballSummer has definitely hit Austin—over 100 all week! To help cool off, we hosted a water field games party this past Saturday. Thankfully it wasn’t crazy hot, and it actually rained a bit. Ladies Brunch and Flower Hour

Flower hourThis past Sunday, I hosted a ladies brunch with some mini-flower arranging. It was a beautiful, sunny day to brunch with a dozen of my lady friends who were decked out in floral. The painted vases didn’t exactly hold up well when filled with water, but everyone seemed to have a lovely time semi-DIYing flower arrangements. Painted Vases

Painted vasesThis weekend, I’m excited to host a ladies brunch with some mini flower arranging. In preparation for the gathering, I decided to paint some thrifted glasses to use as vases. I found some cute glasses for $.50-$1 at Salvation Army (my fave thrift store).

I attempted three different types of glass painting, but it was a bit more challenging than Pinterest made it out to be.

Housewarming Presents: Semi-DIY Planter and Sign
