I love the winter holidays with all the food, celebrating, and love. I’m excited to be attending a Thanksgiving dinner hosted by two lovely friends. I’m thinking of making this stuffed pumpkin as my side dish contribution. In the meantime, I’m gathering some hostess gift ideas. Presents are fun! 🙂
For the two Thanksgiving dinner hosts, I used my Ephrem’s Bottle Cutting Kit to make a couple containers to put flowers, candles, etc. out of Topo Chico bottles. Too bad the edges are a little too rough to be used as drinking glasses.
Last week, I brought a couple dinner hosts coffee-cake-in-a-cup. I bought two vintage microwaveable mugs from thrift stores, but you could always gift pretty new mugs. Although the recipe estimates taking under 5 minutes to complete, I was slow and it took me 10-15 minutes to make each one with all the gathering and measuring of ingredients. I’m also not sure how well it keeps after a couple hours.
Here are some other semi-diy ideas I’ve bookmarked:
- Glittered flatware from Oh Happy Day
- Felt coasters from Design Sponge
- Chalkboard wine glasses from Always Order Dessert
- Peppermint stick cocoa in a jar from My Recipes
- Smores kit from Twig & Thistle
- Cake decorating kit from Country Living
Other hostess gift ideas I should try?
