Princemas 2011 was a smashing success! We had about 70 people swing by our tiny house—there was a cozy fire for chatting and s’mores, a Prince photo booth, plenty of purple and costumes, a well stocked bar, and lots of dancing. 2nd Birthday – Winter Wonderland Decor

This past weekend, I was in CA for my niece’s 2nd birthday. We went to Disneyland on her actual birthday on Friday. I’ve always loved the magic of Disney, especially around Christmas. I think she enjoyed the parade the most but was a bit confused when she met the big guy, Mickey Mouse himself.

My sister and brother-in-law also had about 50 kids and parents over for brunch on Saturday. There was so much food and little people! The theme was winter wonderland, and I was in charge of the birthday banner, cupcake toppers, snowflakes, and snow globes for the kids. Continue reading →

Birthday Candy Cake

Another 30th birthday to celebrate – my bff, Nellie, hit the big 30 yesterday. She’s a fan of sour candy (or at least she was in college) so I decided to take a page out of the Candy Chef (so wish they delivered) and made her a candy cake. Semi-DIY Hostess Gifts

I love the winter holidays with all the food, celebrating, and love. I’m excited to be attending a Thanksgiving dinner hosted by two lovely friends. I’m thinking of making this stuffed pumpkin as my side dish contribution. In the meantime, I’m gathering some hostess gift ideas. Presents are fun! 🙂

Little Birthday Presents

Usually, I’m not into giving presents for adult birthdays, but a lot of my friends are turning 30 this year. It seems like a momentous time for some gift-giving.
