OMG it’s already the end of January! Apparently, 2013 started off super busy for me. But hopefully it’s been a good month for you.
Even though I crafted this back in December, I wanted to share an easy semi-diy piñata I made for my work’s white elephant gift exchange. And of course, it’s in the shape of Texas! Although it’s December, it was over 70° in Austin this past Sunday. Yikes! Not the ideal environment for an afternoon hot chocolate party, but lots of fun was still had. Over 30 of my wonderful friends stopped by for some hot chocolate and snacks—some even wearing shorts. 🙂

This past Saturday was my friend Miah’s birthday, yes of Mondays with Miah. Part of the themed party was a t-shirt making contest since Miah loves punny shirts. There was also food in a coffin and the video game Chu-Chu Rocket played on a screen-projector setup outside. Can you figure out the overarching theme? 🙂
With design ideas from babette, I had these grand plans of how to execute the t-shirts—so I get a little competitive—but after two major fails, I gave up and just went with basic fabric paints. Continue reading
My new place has a zillion times more wall space than my old duplex so I needed to get creative aka good at copying. I found these Pinterest inspirations: Hello sign from Sweet Pickins and Wake Up sign from Etsy. Then I pulled out my handy dandy Cricut. 🙂
Painter’s tape/frog tape is amazing! There’s so much potential, especially with Pinterest inspiration. Here’s three fun projects I created for my new place.
